MELT PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS
Melt Pressure Transducers operate on the proven principle of strain gauge technology. The pressure is transferred from the measuring diaphragm (which is flush with the melt channel) via a capillary system to a second diaphragm. The capillary system is filled either with mercury or with a mercury-free medium. The second diaphragm is fitted with a strain gauge. Using the linear change in resistance in relation to deflection, an electric output signal is provided. The special membrane technology guarantees a very long operating life, even under the toughest conditions.
The anti-adhesion coating reduces the risk of damage caused by frozen plastic melts.
STS offers a repair service not only for our Melt Pressure Transducers, but also for those from other manufacturers. Cost savings of up to 50% on the price of a new transducer are possible. Should the repair be uneconomic, STS can offer an exact equivalent transducer at a special "repair exchange" price.
Send the specification of your existing pressure transducer here. STS offers Melt Pressure Transducers which are compatible with those from practically every other manufacturer and would be pleased to issue a quotation for an alternative to your existing sensor(s).
